About the project: 
It sure is hard to be humble when you're a swashbuckling, egocentric super-hero. But our gallant guy-in-green tries his best as he swaggers through THE SOMEWHAT TRUE TALE OF ROBIN HOOD, a frantically funny, Monty Python-esque retelling of the classic. This time around, the legendary legend, in his never-ending quest to aid the needy, encounters a lovely damsel-in-distress (oddly obsessed with skin conditions); an ever-scheming sheriff who would rather bowl a strike than hit a bull's-eye; a gold-hoarding, bad-guy monarch wannabe; and a good-natured "Town's Guy" who manages to make his way into every scene, whether he belongs there or not. Combine them with an expandable band of spoon-wielding Merry Men whose collective IQs equal six, and you've got an irreverent jaunt through Sherwood Forest you won't soon forget!

About the project: 
In one of Shakespeare’s most beloved romantic pastoral comedies, we follow the young heroine Rosalind from the court of her vindictive uncle, Duke Frederick, into the Eden-like Forest of Arden, where her banished father is living in exile. In order to avoid running into trouble, Rosalind disguises herself as a young man, “Ganymede,” and, accompanied by her faithful cousin Celia and the court clown, Touchstone, makes her way into the woods. She soon encounters the young, handsome Orlando, who is also fleeing from Duke Frederick’s court, and who is sick with love for Rosalind. Still disguised as Ganymede, Rosalind tests Orlando’s feelings for her and teaches him about the nature of true love; by the end of the play, four love matches have been made in the forest. As You Like It is an entertaining and touching exploration of life, death, love, family and the bonds that tie us together.

The daughter of Duke Senior. Rosalind is independent-minded, strong-willed, good-hearted, and terribly clever. Rather than slink off into defeated exile, Rosalind resourcefully uses her trip to the Forest of Ardenne as an opportunity to take control of her own destiny. She disguises herself as Ganymede—a handsome young man—and offers herself as a tutor in the ways of love to her beloved Orlando.

ROSALIND

The youngest son of Sir Rowland de Bois and younger brother of Oliver. Orlando is an attractive young man who, under his brother’s neglectful care, has languished without a gentleman’s education or training. Regardless, he considers himself to have great potential, and his victorious battle with Charles proves him right. Orlando cares for the aging Adam in the Forest of Ardenne and later risks his life to save Oliver from a hungry lioness, proving himself a proper gentleman.

ORLANDO

The father of Rosalind and the rightful ruler of the dukedom. Having been banished by his usurping brother, Frederick, Duke Senior now lives in exile in the Forest of Ardenne with Lord Amiens and Jaques. Senior did not put up much of a fight to keep his dukedom, for he seems to make the most of whatever life gives him. Content in the forest, where he claims to learn as much from stones and brooks as he would in a church or library, Duke Senior proves himself to be a kind and fair-minded ruler.

DUKE SENIOR

A faithful lord who accompanies Duke Senior into exile in the Forest of Ardenne. Jaques is a man possessed of a hopelessly melancholy disposition. He stands on the sidelines, watching and judging the actions of the other characters without ever fully participating. Given his inability to participate in life, it is fitting that Jaques alone refuses to follow Duke Senior and the other courtiers back to court, and instead resolves to assume a solitary and contemplative life in a monastery.

JAQUES

The daughter of Duke Frederick and Rosalind’s dearest friend. Celia’s devotion to Rosalind is unmatched, as evidenced by her decision to follow her cousin into exile. To make the trip, Celia assumes the disguise of a simple shepherdess and calls herself Aliena. As elucidated by her extreme love of Rosalind and her immediate devotion to Oliver, whom she marries at the end of the play, Celia possesses a loving heart, but is prone to deep, almost excessive emotions.

CELIA

The brother of Duke Senior and usurper of his throne. Duke Frederick’s cruel nature and volatile temper are displayed when he banishes his niece, Rosalind, from court without reason. That Celia, his own daughter, cannot mitigate his unfounded anger demonstrates the intensity of the duke’s hatefulness. Frederick mounts an army against his exiled brother but aborts his vengeful mission after he meets an old religious man on the road to the Forest of Ardenne.

DUKE FREDERICK

A clown in Duke Frederick’s court who accompanies Rosalind and Celia in their flight to Ardenne. Although Touchstone’s job as a fool is to criticize the behavior and point out the folly of those around him, Touchstone fails to do so with even a fraction of Rosalind’s grace. Next to his mistress, the clown seems hopelessly vulgar and narrow-minded. Almost every line he speaks echoes with bawdy innuendo.

TOUCHSTONE

The oldest son of Sir Rowland de Bois and sole inheritor of the de Bois estate. Oliver is a loveless young man who begrudges his brother, Orlando, a gentleman’s education. He admits to hating Orlando without cause or reason and goes to great lengths to ensure his brother’s downfall. When Duke Frederick employs Oliver to find his missing brother, Oliver finds himself living in despair in the Forest of Ardenne, where Orlando saves his life.

OLIVER

A young, suffering shepherd who is desperately in love with the disdainful Phoebe. Silvius prostrates himself before a woman who refuses to return his affections. In the end, however, he wins the object of his desire.

SILVIUS

A young shepherdess who disdains the affections of Silvius. She falls in love with Ganymede, who is really Rosalind in disguise, but Rosalind tricks Phoebe into marrying Silvius.

PHOEBE

A faithful lord who accompanies Duke Senior into exile in the Forest of Ardenne. 
Lord Amiens is rather jolly and loves to sing.

LORD AMIENS

A professional wrestler in Duke Frederick’s court. Charles demonstrates both his caring nature and his political savvy when he asks Oliver to intercede in his upcoming fight with Orlando: he does not want to injure the young man and thereby lose favor among the nobles who support him. Charles’ concern for Orlando proves unwarranted when Orlando beats him senseless.

CHARLES

The elderly former servant of Sir Rowland de Bois. Having witnessed Orlando’s hardships, Adam offers not only to accompany his young master into exile but to fund their journey with the whole of his modest life’s savings. He is a model of loyalty and devoted service.

ADAM

The father of Oliver and Orlando, friend of Duke Senior, and enemy of Duke Frederick. Upon Sir Rowland’s death, most of his estate was handed over to Oliver.

SIR ROWLAND DE BOIS

A shepherd who attempts to counsel his friend Silvius in the ways of love, but Silvius refuses to listen.

About the project:
   Based on the Victor Hugo novel and songs from the Disney animated feature, THE HUNCHBACK OF NOTRE DAME showcases the film’s Academy Award-nominated score, as well as new songs by Menken and Schwartz. Peter Parnell’s new book embraces story theatre and features verbatim passages from Hugo’s gothic novel.
   The musical begins as the bells of Notre Dame sound through the famed cathedral in fifteenth-century Paris. Quasimodo, the deformed bell-ringer who longs to be “Out There,” observes all of Paris reveling in the Feast of Fools. Held captive by their devious caretaker, the archdeacon Dom Claude Frollo, they escape for the day and they join the boisterous crowd, only to be treated cruelly by all but the beautiful gypsy, Esmeralda. Quasimodo isn’t the only one captivated by her free spirit, though – the handsome Captain Phoebus and Frollo are equally enthralled. As the three vie for her attention, Frollo embarks on a mission to destroy the gypsies – and it’s up to Quasimodo to save them all.

Returning to Paris after serving in the war, Phoebus takes up his new position as Captain of the Cathedral Guard. Overconfident yet charming, this handsome, strong soldier makes the ladies swoon, yet his moral compass is also strong, and he openly defies the corrupted Frollo.

About the project:
   THE PROM is a funny, smart, big-hearted new musical with a catchy score, a hilarious book, and high-energy dance numbers.
   After a scathing review from the New York Times closes their latest show on opening night, four eccentric Broadway stars are in desperate need of a new stage. So when they hear that trouble is brewing around a small-town prom, they know that it’s time to put a spotlight on the issue…and themselves. The town’s parents want to keep the high school dance on the straight and narrow—but when one student just wants to bring her girlfriend to prom, the entire town has a date with destiny. On a mission to transform lives, Broadway’s brassiest join forces with a courageous girl and the town’s citizens and the result is a love that brings them all together.

A famous Broadway actress who hopes to revive her career and overcome poor reviews by supporting a teenage lesbian in Indiana. Dee Dee references her humble origins but always embraces her fame and accomplishments when given the opportunity. Over the course of events, she forms a unique bond with a high school principal, a long-time fan.

Dee Dee’s co-star in Eleanor!. He teams up with her to try to help rehabilitate their image after their recent show flops. In Indiana, Barry is briefly reminded of his Ohio roots and recalls painful memories about coming out and being abandoned by his parents before triumphing at the prom.

Barry Glickman

An ensemble member and understudy in Chicago who finally quits the show after 20 years of not being able to go on in the lead role of Roxie Hart. 
She urges Emma to find her light as a person.

Angie

An actor who is still looking for his major big break but who still likes to remind colleagues that he was trained at The Juilliard School. His communication skills are applauded at James Madison High School, as he’s able to connect with students with conservative views about sexuality.

Trent Oliver

A theatrical press agent who worries about box office sales because of the poor Eleanor! reviews. He’s the one who encourages Dee Dee and Barry to change their image or risk the future of their careers. He later travels to Indiana with them in the hopes of resurrecting their reputations.

Sheldon Saperstein

A small-town girl who only hopes to go to prom with her girlfriend Alyssa.  Unfortunately, the head of the PTA initially bans her from attending but eventually cancels the prom entirely. In an effort find a way to go and still make it up to herself and everyone else, she accepts support from  – and eventually befriends – Dee, Barry and the others, despite their questionable intentions.

Emma

Emma’s girlfriend who has still not publicly revealed that she’s in a relationship with Emma. Her mother is the head of the PTA who believes that same-sex couples should be banned from the James Madison High School prom and Alyssa often feels like she has to prove herself to her mother.

Alyssa

The head of the Parent Teacher Association at James Madison High School in Indiana who bans Emma from being able to bring her girlfriend to the prom. However, she doesn’t know that it means she’s actually banning her own daughter. After learning of their relationship, she initially doesn’t accept that her daughter, Alyssa, has a strong romantic connection with Emma.

Mrs. Greene

The principal at James Madison High School. He’s a passionate theatre enthusiast who bonds with Dee Dee and looks beyond her egocentric personality. As Emma and Alyssa’s principal, he is 100 percent supportive and on-board with having them go to the dance together. This role is written to be played by a Black male actor.

Emma’s former friend who abandoned her after learning about her sexuality.

About the project:
​Synopsis: Without William Shakespeare, we wouldn’t have literary masterpieces like Romeo and Juliet. But without Henry Condell and John Heminges, we would have lost half of Shakespeare’s plays forever! After the death of their friend and mentor, the two actors are determined to compile the First Folio and preserve the words that shaped their lives. They’ll just have to borrow, beg, and band together to get it done. Amidst the noise and color of Elizabethan London, The Book of Will finds an unforgettable true story of love, loss, and laughter, and sheds new light on a man you may think you know.

About the project:
An estranged interracial couple must confront their feelings about race and bias after their son is detained by the local police following a traffic stop incident. Their disparate histories and backgrounds inform their assumptions as they try to find out what happened to their son.
