Eleven-year-old Winnie Foster yearns for a life of adventure beyond her white picket fence, but not until she becomes unexpectedly entwined with the Tuck Family does she get more than she could have imagined. When Winnie learns of the magic behind the Tuck’s unending youth, she must fight to protect their secret from those who would do anything for a chance at eternal life. As her adventure unfolds, Winnie faces an extraordinary choice: return to her life, or continue with the Tucks on their infinite journey. Based on the best-selling children’s classic by Natalie Babbitt and adapted for the stage by Claudia Shear and Tim Federle, Tuck Everlasting features a soaring score from Chris Miller and Nathan Tysen. Additional info: How to pepare for initial auditions: Vocal audition piece: - Prepare 16 bars (no longer than one minute) - Focus on the best vocal moments, not an entire song An accompanist will not be provided; please bring a track, a bluetooth speaker will be provided Dance: - For ensemble and lead roles, theatre's team will teach you a basic dance combo, and you will do it together simply to see if you can move - If you only want to audition for the dance team, sign up specifically for Sunday at 6pm. They will teach you a small ballet combo. Reading from the script: - People who are interested in named roles will be asked to stay and read from provided sides What to Expect at Auditions: - You should arrive about 15 minutes early to fill out your audition sheet and waiver. No resume or headshot are necessary but are helpful. - Auditioners will wait in the lobby until called to the audition room for their assigned time slot. - Hand your paperwork to the directing team upon entering and introduce yourself to the team. - All Auditioners in your time slot will perform your song selections, sides that are provided, and a short movement audition. - If you only want to be in the ensemble, sign up for a slot that fits your age range, and let the directing team know in the audition. They will not make you stay for the reading. May 31: Callbacks/Dance Team Audition, 6pm. Auditioners will be asked at their audition to attend callbacks. You will be reading from the script with a mix of characters, trying different people in different roles to see group dynamics and actor choices. Dance Team will audition separately from callbacks, but at this same time and place. Rehearsals run from June 1-July 23, 2026; M-Th, 6:30-9pm, with possible additional Saturdays as needed. Tech week will begin June 25 (Saturday and Sunday tech days) and dress rehearsals will be held M-Th, with opening night on Friday, July 31st. (Male-presenting, young adult, vocal range: F3-C5 ). Jesse is the youngest and most optimistic of the Tuck family at 17. He quickly becomes friends with Winnie, attempting to show her how life can be filled with fun forever. Again, specific age is not important for the casting of Jesse, just the ability to play a fun-loving, cheerful 17-year-old.
(Male-presenting, vocal range: E3-B4). Angus is the patriarch of the Tuck family, married to Mae. Along with the other members of the Tuck family, he teaches Winnie about the beauty of living life in all its seasons.
(Female-presenting, vocal range: A3-E5). Mae is the matriarch of the Tuck family, married to Angus. She loves all her boys, and is kind to Winnie.
(Male-presenting, vocal range: F3-C5). Miles is the oldest son of the Tuck family. He has traveled the world, and is much more mature than Jesse.
(Male-presenting, vocal range: G3-B4) The Man in the Yellow Suit, who is never given any other name, is the show’s antagonist. He has traveled with the circus most of his life in hopes of finding the Fountain of Youth.
(Male-presenting, vocal range: F3-B4). Joe is the town’s law enforcement, and Hugo’s mentor.
(Male-presenting, young adult, vocal range: G3-C5). Hugo is a 15-year-old self-starter who assists Joe with the very few investigations that arise in Treegap. Specific age is not important in casting Hugo, only that the actor must be able to play an eager, questionably competent, young investigator.
(Female-presenting, vocal range: A3-E5) Winnie’s protective mother.
(Female-presenting, vocal range: A3-C#5). Winnie’s grandmother who lives with her and her mom.
(Any vocal range). The ensemble in this show play a variety of roles, including townsfolk, travelers, spirits, carnival workers and patrons.
(Dance experience required): young adult Winnie, young adult Hugo, middle aged Winnie, middle aged Hugo, senior Winnie, senior Hugo, 2 additional teen through middle aged males and females as townspeople.
