"Grimm AF - World Premiere Musical" in Need of Actors
"Grimm AF", a musical comedy set in an updated fairy tale world. Rate: $1,200 Stipend for Chicago Workshop NON UNION This production will rehearse in Chicago with the possibility of debuting at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival. Virtual Callback Date(s): June 8th and June 10th, 2026 Rehearsal Dates: June 15-29, 2026 (Need Daytime Avail) Performance Dates: June 29, 30 and July 1, 2026; July 30-August 18, 2026 (Edinburgh Fringe Festival) If interested, you must be available for all dates, local to Chicago and have a valid passport that has an expiration date of March 2027 or later. Pick a piece that shows off your vocal range, capability, and storytelling ability. 2. A self-tape of one of the character sides you think you can best portray. Prince Charming/Pied Piper - Charming, narcissist, seeking praise and power through convincing manipulation. Brian- age 4 (played by adult), Becky's son from a previous relationship, spoiled. Officer - Cop in the Domain
Ophelia - age 12-13 (played by adult), Bold, Disruptive, precocious, Misses her deceased mother. Ophelia is an escapist fan of fairytales and fantasy. Witch - Oddball, addicted to magic & intoxicated in its presence. When not affected by magic, she's pretty decent. Rural.
Wolf - Overly intense, brooding and melodramatic. He takes himself and everything else way too seriously.
Rose - Direct, honest, practical. She has processed and dealt with the past, now she just wants to build the life she wants- free of outside pressures. Evil Stepmother - Elegant, seductive, snobbish. She wants to be loved but is secretly too insecure to accept it. Becky - Ophelia's new Stepmother, Normal lady who spoils her baby boy.
Krampus - Intolerably tolerant, crunchy social justice warrior. Hates themselves for a dark past and takes it out on others. Mr. Brick - A Pig. Pompous, abrasive, slovenly. Priest - 30-50s, Genuine, feels like part of the scenery so they're excited when anyone pays them attention.
Dad - 30s, Corny, Devoted. Rumpelstiltskin - An Imp. Confident but misunderstands the world. No concept of personal boundaries or punctuation. Constantly angling to steal a baby because he wants to be a dad. Twiggy - A Pig. Sassy, smug.
