In a desolate world, the game follows a ragtag team of renegades drafted by the government, tasked with capturing a demonic entity before a group of terrorists can. Imbued with an extreme art direction inspired by punk aesthetics, Stratagem Lost sets itself apart with its expressive, outspoken absurdism reminiscent of the early 2000s. Grayson is 22 years old with a friendly masculine voice. He's an extroverted, sociable soldier, eager to help everyone get along. He's pretty laid back, but sports a louder, more expressive side when the going gets tough.
Josephine is a young adult with an antagonistic feminine voice. She's maniacal, sadistic, and sporting a deep lack of empathy. Combat and bloodshed excite her, which she frequently expresses with laughter and a casual hedonism. Note: "Blue" is a taunting nickname that she gives one of the protagonists which she maintains an intense rivalry with.
Harriet is 22 years old with a rugged feminine voice. She is a bodyguard, a role that she takes with utmost determination. Serious and stoic, she approaches everything with a professional do-or-die mentality.
Margo is 18 years old with a soft spoken feminine voice. She's shy and skittish, but she keeps it on the down low. In general, she's quiet, reserved, and unconfrontational. However, she's forced to give up on her own ambitions after being drafted.
Kingsley is 23 years old, with a burly masculine voice. He's calm and collected, always in control of his emotions. His passion is combat, which he sees as an art form. He seeks to better himself through training, discipline, and sparring.
Magdalene is a middle-aged adult with a sophisticated, domineering, feminine voice. She has a towering, terrifying presence, larger than most characters and carrying a large guillotine. She speaks with an authoritative, almost aristocratic tone, which gives way to ferocious shouts as she walks her holy, albeit bloody, path.
Akane is an energetic young adult, with a mid-to-high pitched feminine voice. She is friendly, upbeat, and enjoys the thrill of combat.
Lancelot is a young adult in his early 20's, with a low to medium pitched masculine voice. Lancelot is determined and resolute, but still has a casual tone to his voice. Over the course of the game, Lancelot's story becomes grimmer.
