"RAISIN IN THE SUN" First Rehearsal: August 20th, 2024; Previews: September 11th, 2024; Opening: September 13th, 2024; Closing: October 6th, 2024. SYNOPSIS: Lena Younger has decided to use her late husband’s life insurance to move her family out of their cramped apartment on Chicago’s South Side. Her son, Walter Lee, has other ideas. This innovative new production of an American classic fearlessly interrogates the American dream in the face of racial and economic strife. 2. "A CHRISTMAS STORY" First Rehearsal: October 29th, 2024; Previews: November 20th, 2024; Opening: November 22nd, 2024; Closing: December 24th, 2024. SYNOPSIS: Based on the movie of the same name, this heartwarming play tells the story of a young boy named Ralphie Parker who attempts to convince his parents, his teacher, and Santa that a Red Ryder B.B. gun is the perfect Christmas gift. Narrated by Ralphie's adult self, this play is a satirical tale of a middle-class family negotiating the challenges of Christmas, through the lens of a nine-year-old boy. 3. "THE LEHMAN TRILOGY" Previews: February 5th, 2025; Opening: February 7th, 2025; Closing: March 2nd, 2025. SYNOPSIS: On a cold September morning in 1844, a young man from Bavaria stands on a New York dockside dreaming of a new life in the new world. He is joined by his two brothers, and an American epic begins. 163 years later, the firm they establish - Lehman Brothers - spectacularly collapsed into bankruptcy, triggering the largest financial crisis in history. The Lehman Trilogy is the story of a family and a company that changed the world. 4. "YOUNG JOHN LEWIS" First Rehearsal: April 29th, 2025; Previews: June 4th, 2025; Opening: June 7th, 2025; Closing: June 29th, 2025. SYNOPSIS: The world premiere of a brand new commissioned hip-hop musical that explores the life of Civil Rights icon John Lewis, from his early years as a young activist through the turbulent and transformative moments of the late 1960’s. Note: With the exception of two of the ensemble roles, the characters are African American. Seeking Musical theater performers for the major roles.
