"Little Shop Of Horrors" Musical Needs Performers
Adult vocalists/actors/dancers for "Little Shop Of Horrors" show. ONLY LOCAL TALENT WILL BE CONSIDERED. See the details below. Additional info: In person auditions will have first consideration for casting, however performers traveling further than 90 miles from The Theatre may submit a virtual audition: see the attachment. Rehearsal Dates: Aug 24th – Oct 2nd. (Rehearsals are generally Sun-Thur, 6:30pm-10:30pm). Mandatory Tech Week: Sep 28th – Oct 2nd. Performances run for 4 Weekends: Oct 3rd – Oct 26th Includes Fri 8pm, Sat 2pm & 8pm, & Sun 2pm . (*May add additional performances including Thursday evenings at a later date). When applying, please include your SATB vocal part, preferred date & time (Sunday, Aug 3rd: 6pm-10pm, Monday, Aug 4th: 6pm-10pm), and performer headshot. Please be patient, it make take a few days to respond due to high volume request.

Bari-Tenor (A2-G4). An insecure, put-upon florist’s clerk and eventual hero. He is a genuine, well-meaning man who is taken for granted because of his clumsy ways and poor social skills. (Male Identifying).
Mezzo-Soprano – (G#3-D5). Bleached-blond, Billie-Dawn-like, secret love of Seymour’s life. She has poor self-worth and education, but incredibly good looks and a sweet and vulnerable demeanor. (Female Identifying).
Baritone – (G2-G4). The seasoned owner of the failing East Side flower shop and Seymour’s nosy boss. He is profit-driven, greedy, and manipulative. (Male Identifying).
Baritone – (G2-G4). An egotistical dentist with a passion for leather and sadistic tendencies. Audrey’s abusive boyfriend, who is targeted by Seymour. (Male Identifying).
Urchins- Mezzo-Soprano (Ab3-F5): Crystal, Ronnette and Chiffon are Diverse street urchins, acting as the occasional Greek Chorus. Seeking performers who are both strong vocalists AND strong movers. Young, hip, and smart, “all knowing.”

Baritone (G2-G4). An actor/vocalist located offstage. The voice is that of a conniving, street-smart ‘villain.’ A funky Rhythm and Blues voice is best. May partially puppeteer The Plant. (Male Identifying).
Puppeteer/Ensemble. Puppet. An anthropomorphic cross between a Venus flytrap and an avocado, the plant has an appetite for human flesh that is appeased by Seymour. Puppeteer doubles as other sizes of the plant and some ensemble characters.
Ensemble: seeking one or two additional ensemble who may assist with puppeteering and to play Customers, Reporters, Professionals.
