The company is holding auditions for The Addams Family Musical and looking for performers, please see the details below. Additional info: Please prepare 16-32 bars of a comedic musical theatre song and bring a device with a karaoke or instrumental track that can be plugged into a speaker. Auditioners will be seen on a first come first serve basis. Callbacks will be held by invitation only on Wednesday, July 9th from 7-10PM. Callbacks will consist of a short dance combo, singing from the score, and cold reading as needed. If invited, please come dressed to move with appropriate footwear. Please note, not getting a callback does not mean you will not be cast. Callbacks serve as a purpose for the casting team to see additional material that may not have been showcased in the audition

Vocal Range: Bb2 - G4, Male, A passionate man who adores his wife, loves his children unconditionally, and is proud to be an Addams. Gomez finds himself trapped between his daughter and his wife, forcing him to choose between honoring his daughter's wishes and lying to his wife. Must have excellent comedic timing and strong movement skills. *Must be okay with close & intense romantic interactions with Morticia, including a stage kiss.

Morticia AddamsFemale35-55 y.o.All ethnicities

Vocal Range: G3 - Bb5, Female, The beautiful and mysterious matriarch of the Addams family who believes strongly in family tradition. Morticia looks to Gomez, especially when things with Wednesday get tense. Must exude confidence in everything she does with a dry sense of humor and strong movement skills. *Must be okay with close & intense romantic interactions with Gomez, including a stage kiss.

Wednesday AddamsBoth genders18-25 y.o.All ethnicities

Vocal Range; A3 - E5, Female, Wednesday has a dark soul, with her father’s heart and her mother’s sensibility, strength, and stubbornness. Wednesday is trying to figure out how to balance her relationships with her “strange” family and her new love’s “normal” family. Must be able to toe the line between the stoic darkness of the Addams and the bubbly brightness of the Beineckes. Athletic abilities are a plus. *Must be okay with close interactions with Lucas, including a stage kiss.

Uncle Fester StageMale30-60 y.o.All ethnicities

Vocal Range; C3 – G4 (optional C5), Any Gender to Play Male. Serving as the narrator of the show, Uncle Fester is lovable, childish, enthusiastic, and up to plenty of hijinks. Fester must have great comedic timing, a distinctive character voice, and a charismatic energy about him. Must be comfortable breaking the fourth wall and directly addressing the audience.

Grandma StageFemale18-56 y.o.All ethnicities

Age: 102, Vocal Range: G4 – F5, Female. Fun, feisty, and way too much energy for someone of her advanced years. Grandma always has a trick up her sleeve. She is wise, sometimes a bit crass, but at the end of the day, she is a grandmother and mother who loves her family. Must have great comedic timing and physicality, and be comfortable with crude humor.

LurchMale18-60 y.o.All ethnicities

Vocal Range: Eb2 – E4, Male. Lurch is the Addams Family butler. He has a looming presence that is more than just his stature. He simultaneously blends into the background while having big reactions to what is happening around him. Much like a mime, Lurch should have big non-verbal storytelling skills. *Potential for intimate interaction with Alice.

Lucas BeineckeMale18-25 y.o.All ethnicities

Vocal Range: C3 – C5, Male. The star-crossed lover that is somehow both Romeo & Juliet. Son of Alice & Mal, Lucas intends to marry Wednesday. His optimism and cheerfulness is unwavering. He is the yin to Wednesday’s yang. *Must be okay with close romantic interactions with Wednesday including a stage kiss.

Alice BeineckeFemale35-55 y.o.All ethnicities

Vocal Range: Ab3 – G#5, Female. The ever cheerful, upbeat, and unwavering wife to Mal and mother to Lucas. While Alice has big, comedic moments, she always has a sadness to her that should be played earnestly. She must balance the timid, upbeat nature before taking a powerful turn with her powerful vocals. *Must be okay with close romantic interactions with Mal, including a stage kiss. Potential for intimate interaction with Lurch.

Mal BeineckeMale35-55 y.o.All ethnicities

Vocal Range: C3 – A4, Male.The uptight and cynical father of Lucas and cold-shouldered husband to Alice. He finds the whole ordeal to be too much and cannot wait to get as far away from the Addams as possible. *Must be okay with close romantic interactions with Alice, including a stage kiss.

The AncestorsMale18-56 y.o.All ethnicities

All Vocal Ranges, Any Gender. The Addams' ancestors serve as the chorus for the show and help bring the story to life. They will be featured as singers and dancers throughout the show. These are vastly physical, active roles that require a wide range of movement and mobility. *Must be okay with potential full white makeup.
