Theater Casting Call for "Unity (1918)" Play
Seeking performers for production of "Unity (1918)". More details are bellow. About the play: A Gothic romance that embraces love at the edge of death. Synopsis: The year is 1918 and the Great War is finally over, but a mysterious and deadly plague – the “Spanish Flu” – has arrived in Canada and the citizens of Unity, Saskatchewan are fighting for their lives. This Governor General’s Award-winning play tells the story of a small farming community quarantined in an attempt to keep the illness out. The play tells of compassion, adaptation, and hope. The human spirit endures, coping with personal tragedy. Content Advisory: Mature themes and language. Additional information: Performance Dates: November 19 to December 7, 2025. Callbacks by invitation only will be held Sunday, September 7 starting at 1pm. Rehearsals start September 16 and will run Tuesdays and Thursdays (7–10 p.m.) and Sundays (1–4 p.m.). There is nothing to prepare for these auditions as there will be cold reads from the script. Audition Location: Langham. Auditions will be in the Rehearsal Room.
