"Fiddler on the Roof" Musical Needs Performers

About the project: Set in the little village of Anatevka, the story centers on Tevye, a poor milkman, and his five daughters. With the help of a colorful and tight-knit Jewish community, Tevye tries to protect his daughters and instill them with traditional values in the face of changing social mores and the growing anti-Semitism of Czarist Russia. Rich in historical and ethnic detail, Fiddler on the Roof's universal theme of tradition cuts across barriers of race, class, nationality and religion, leaving audiences crying tears of laughter, joy and sadness. Additional info: Prepare a Broadway song cut to 60 seconds or less. Time limit will be enforced. Bring a recent headshot – 4×6 color. Be prepared to completely fill out the audition form attached, including the rehearsal calendar with a list of conflicts between July 14 and September 20. PLEASE NOTE: Rehearsals the first two weeks of July will be primarily for leads for character and initial music work. Fill out this portion of the rehearsal calendar, but know that the majority of the cast will not start rehearsing until July 28. Video auditions are accepted. A few things to note: - Songs must be memorized and kept to 60 seconds or less. Time limit will be enforced. - Be prepared to completely fill out the rehearsal calendar at your audition with any and all conflicts that may arise during rehearsal. - The production team is sacrificing time to be at rehearsals and it is pointless to rehearse with no one there. Be clear on your conflicts. Any conflicts reported after casting may result in a change of role or require withdrawal from the show. Callbacks July 12 by invitation.
