Theater Casting Call for "Prescription: Murder" Play
ONLY LOCAL TALENT WILL BE ACCEPTED. Directors are currently in need of performers for production of "Prescription: Murder". More details are below. About the play: Providing the inspiration for the TV series Columbo, the theatrical predecessor Prescription: Murder tells the story of a brilliant psychiatrist and his mistress who hatch a plot to murder his neurotic, possessive wife. Additional information: Auditions are held in group format consisting of reading sides from the script. Each 30-minute session has a maximum capacity of 6 auditioners. Female presenting character. An actress with a hint of latent sensuality. (NOTE: This role require stage intimacy (kissing) with DR. ROY FLEMMING).
No gender specification. A smooth lawyer with one eye on a political future.
Female presenting character. Brittle and sardonic, showing the strain of a loveless marriage.
A rumpled police official. Seemingly bumbling and vague, with an overly apologetic, almost deferential manner, which masks an inner shrewdness and knowledge of human nature.
Female presenting character. A pleasant, efficient woman with a genuine liking for people.
