The company is holding auditions for "Melancholy Play" and looking for performers, please see the details below. ONLY LOCAL TALENT WILL BE CONSIDERED. About the project: A melodramatic comedy that celebrates the way we relate to one another through sadness. Tilly's melancholy is of an exquisite quality. She turns her melancholy into a sexy thing, and every stranger she meets falls in love with her. One day, inexplicably, Tilly becomes happy, wreaking havoc on the lives of her paramours. Rate: $200 Additional info: Resume and Headshot and prepare one memorized melodramatic comedic monologue no longer than 90seconds. Please also prepare one short song in the style of the show (ballads are preferred). Please bring a phone with Bluetooth or other device to play your backing track from. A Bluetooth speaker will be provided. Rehearsal Dates: February 15 - April 5 | Sundays - Thursdays 6:30-9:30. Tech week: April 6-10 Performance Dates: April 11-27 Thursdays - Saturdays at 7:30pm Sundays at 2:00pm Please apply if interested.
