Seeking Performers for "Harvest" Play
ONLY LOCAL TALENT WILL BE ACCEPTED. Directors are currently in need of male and female performers for production of "Harvest". More details are below. About the play: This Laugh Out Loud comedy follows the charming story of Charlotte and Allan, a retired couple who innocently rent out their farmhouse only to discover they’ve handed it over to a grow-op! The twist? Two versatile actors will bring this entire quirky world to life, not only portraying Charlotte and Allan but every other character in this two hander. Additional information: Performance Dates: Wednesday, April 30 @ 7:30 p.m. Thursday, May 1 @ 7:30 p.m. Friday, May 2 @ 7:30 p.m. Saturday, May 3 @ 2:00 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. Sunday, May 4 @ 2:00 p.m. All performances will be held in Ayr. Audition requests must be submitted by midnight Thursday, January 16, 2025. Call Backs: January 23 - 7:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. in Ayr. All actors who are called back will be in a group audition. Charlotte is loving, trusting and practical. Married for more than 40 years, she knows exactly what her husband is going to say before he even thinks it, and she’s ready to help course correct when one of his stories goes off the rails. She’s quick to embrace new members of the community and wants to ensure everyone feels welcome.
Allan is resourceful, salt of the earth, loving and tenacious. Deliverer of snappy one liners and groan worthy dad jokes, he’s eager to layer a little humour into a difficult situation. He knows his wife better than anyone and would do anything to make her happy.
