The company is holding auditions for "Hairspray" Show and looking for performers, please see the details below. ONLY LOCAL TALENT WILL BE CONSIDERED. About the project: It's 1962 in Baltimore, and the lovable plus-size teen, Tracy Turnblad, has only one desire: to dance on the popular "Corny Collins Show." When her dream comes true, Tracy is transformed from social outcast to sudden star. She must use her newfound power to dethrone the reigning Teen Queen, win the affections of heartthrob, and integrate a TV network – all without denting her 'do! Additional info: Prepare 32 bars from a Broadway show of your choice that demonstrates your vocal range. Bring sheet music or a track. An accompanist and Bluetooth speaker will be provided to accommodate either option. No acapella singing will be accepted! Dance call will be during callbacks, if invited. Please provide all potential conflicts for rehearsals starting February 8th. Performance dates & times: May 2, 3, 9, 10, 17, and 18 at 8 PM; May 4, 10, and 11 at 3 PM Set strike on May 18 is mandatory for all involved Please apply if interested.
