About the project: This is a collection of artfully interpreted true local stories about surviving trauma and giving voice to what is seldom spoken. In this original show, all chorus members are principal players who seldom leave the stage. They take turns being spotlight storytellers, supporting characters, and interpreters through movement, choreography, song, and the playing of simple hand instruments. Cameo players make surprise appearances. Please note that the show is intended for mature audiences (14 and up), due to sensitive subjects, including suicide, questioning faith, spousal and child abuse, abortion, miscarriage, divorce, and death. CAMEO MOTHER: capable of stepping on and off a 2 ft. box, a trigger event catapults her into the memory of the child she lost to miscarriage, wrapped in so many layers of love.
CAMEO POET: in a poetic throw down, they claim their quirky irreverent life with pride and refusal to be tempted or swayed by conformity
CAMEO FATHER: capable of stepping on and off a 2 ft. box, when his daughter elects to have an abortion, he joins his wife in supporting their child in love despite any differences in belief.
