Performers Needed for "The Wayside Motor Inn" Play
Directors are currently in need of performers for production of "The Wayside Motor Inn". See the details below. About the play: The play by A.R. Gurney is best described as a 'dramedy', both comedy and drama combine to make this extremely interesting script come to life. It is composed of five separate subplots which take place simultaneously in one room of a suburban motor lodge outside of Boston during the late afternoon and early evening of a spring day in the last 1970's. The play is about ten ordinary people who find themselves at the wayside of their lives, wondering which turn to take. Their difficulties and conflicts are commonplace, but to give dimension and resonance to their situations their stories are presented side by side, and in some cases, simultaneously, on stage. In this way the playwright has made the ordinary seem somehow extraordinary. Additional information: Location: Belleville, ON. Please come to audition with a prepared, modern era monologue of no more than a page in length. There will follow cold reads of the script against other potential actors.
