The company is holding auditions for "Unnecessary Farce" show and looking for performers, please see the details below. About the project: “Two cops. Three crooks. Eight doors. Go!” UNNECESSARY FARCE is an award-winning stage comedy that combines all the elements of classic farce with a contemporary American plot. In an economy motel room, an embezzling mayor is supposed to meet with his female accountant. In the room next door, two undercover cops are supposed to catch the meeting on videotape. But there’s some confusion as to who is in which room, who is watching the video, who has taken the money, who has hired a hitman, and why the accountant keeps taking off her clothes. Additional info: Performance dates: May 23-June 14, 2025 Auditions are by invitation and will consist of readings from the script. Once you’ve been given an audition time, the sides will be emailed to you. PERFORMANCES Show dates are May 23-June 15, 2025 Industry Night: June 9,2025 Friday and Saturday nights at 7:30PM Sundays at 2:00PM REHEARSALS Rehearsals will begin around April 15, 2025. Rehearsals may be up to 6 days per week, Mon-Fri after 6pm and Sat/Sun after 11am. Tech is all day May 17 & 18. A police officer. Eric’s partner. Although she seems to lack every skill needed for police work, she is enthusiastic and eager to succeed.
A sweet, gentle fellow, who seems very Innocent (with a capital “I”)
Town Hall head of Security. Although he can seem confident and even gruff, in moments of crisis he is easily reduced to a very frightened man
Speaks with a pronounced Scottish accent. A professional hit man whose accent gets thicker the angrier he gets, until he’s completely indecipherable.
The Mayor’s wife. Small statured, she seems very sweet natured, and a good match for her husband the mayor - however, she is not all that she seems.
