Auditions for "Pride & Prejudice" play. Seeking actors. ONLY LOCAL TALENT WILL BE CONSIDERED. Please see the breakdown below. Additional info: Auditions will consist of cold readings from the script. All attempts will be made for you to read for your character(s) of interest. No callbacks. Character descriptions are below; ages are for context but not a requirement. All are welcome. Inclusive casting (aka colorblind casting). British accents are required for all roles, RP preferred. Multiple smaller roles will likely be played by the same actor. Rehearsal will be approx. 4 times a week, on weekday evenings or Sundays, schedule tbd based on cast conflicts. *** As per the original novel, Lydia elopes with a man significantly older than herself. In this production, there will be no kissing or bodily embracing between these characters. The maximum intimacy will be her holding onto the gentleman’s arm. If you are interested, please apply.
