Actors Needed for Six One Act Plays
Looking to cast performers for six One Act plays that will be performed in "You Caught Us In Our Shorts for the 7th Time". See the details below. ONLY LOCAL TALENT WILL BE CONSIDERED. About the project: 1. "Blind Date" Love is blind...or is it? Marcia is looking for love; Ted taps in. Will it be a match made in heaven or a case of the blind leading the blind? Blind Date 2. "Brave" Brave is a play about loss and love. Actors need to be able to express strong emotions. The payoff is a beautiful play, both heart-wrenching and uplifting. 3. "Enigma Variations" Enigma Variations involves zany hijinks with doppelgangers, déjà vu, and a nurse who may be Aphrodite or a male gym teacher in a dress. 4. "The Water Engine" The Water Engine is about an alternative energy invention and the steps a Corporation takes to suppress the idea. 5. "Time Flies" Time Flies centers on two mayflies who discover each other and their short life span on a first and last date. 6. "You Can Fly" You Can Fly is about two actors who have played a famous pair of characters for most of their lives and are starting to think they may have aged out of the roles. Additional info: Rehearsals will begin in early December/early 2025 (based on director’s preference). Performance dates are March 14, 15, 16, 20, 21, & 22 at the Arts Center at Dunham. The audition will consist of cold readings from the scripts. Actors can audition and be cast for multiple One Act plays. Actors can do multiple auditions with the directors during each audition date based on casting requirements. If you are interested, please apply.

"You Can Fly" Well spoken, determined but at times unsure. When she’s not playing a character she’s caring, witty and playful.
