Seeking actors for "A Fairytale Christmas Carol" show. Please see the details below. About the project: The well-loved classic holiday tale gets the fractured fairy-tale treatment. Famous fairy-tale characters take on the memorable roles in Dickens’s A Christmas Carol. You’ll never know who will show up next as the Big Bad Wolf (as Ebenezer Scrooge) meets his old business partner Jacob Midas (Marley), who could turn anything to gold. Midas warns Big Bad that he’ll be visited by The Ghosts of Christmas Past, Present, and Future (played by a Fairy Godmother, Old King Cole, and the Queen of Hearts .) The ghosts make Scrooge realize what a scoundrel he’s been to the Charming (or Crachit) family — including Prince Philip, Cinderella and their kids, Hansel, Gretel, and Tabitha, their Little Match Girl — and help him to remember what the Christmas spirit is all about. This fun-filled adaptation stays true to the warmth and heart of the classic. Additional info: SHOW DATES are: Saturday Dec 7 and Dec 14(1 pm and 3 pm) Sunday Dec 8 and Dec 15 (1 pm and 3 pm) Rehearsals will be on Tuesdays, Thursdays, (+some)Saturdays starting on Oct 1. All actors must additionally be available for tech week which runs Sunday Dec 1- Thursday Dec 5 (a preview performance in evening). READ-THROUGH of the script for all actors who are cast will be held on Thursday September 26 from 7-9:00 p.m. Ages of characters are listed but actors of ALL genders, ethnicities & colors are encouraged and welcomed. Sides will be provided at the audition, but if you would like to get an idea of the dialogue & cadence of the language then go to PIONEER DRAMA website and ask to peruse script for free online.
