About the project: Synopsis: The Cottage is a hilarious new farce set in the English countryside in 1923. The true meaning of fate, identity, and marriage is called into question as a surprising, hilarious web of secrets unravels in this ridiculous - potentially murderous - uncharacteristically feminist, 1923 British tale of sex, betrayal, and oh yes, love ... when Sylvia Van Kipness decides to expose her love affair to her husband and her lover's wife. Rate: Actors are paid a stipend. Additional info: Performers with strong physical comedy skills are encouraged to audition. PREPARE: Please bring a resume and headshot. Prepare a 1-2 minute comedic monologue. Plan on participating in cold readings from the script. REHEARSALS: November 17 – January 30, weekday evenings and occasional weekends. No rehearsals during Thanksgiving or Christmas. Bring your calendar to rehearsal to check specific dates/times for any conflicts.
