6 roles

David KahnMale40-69 y.o.All ethnicities

Successful gallery owner and arts dealer in New York City. Revels in his lavish lifestyle. Has a razor wit, finely polished sense of sarcasm, always looking for a punchline. Does not hold up well in a crisis.

Barbara KahnFemale40-69 y.o.All ethnicities

Partner with her husband in the gallery. A sophisticated, stylish, worldly woman. Much less confident in her complex relationship with her mother.

Trudy HeymanFemale40-69 y.o.All ethnicities

A couple of years younger than her sister. Prudish, lives a lack-luster life in suburbs of Long Island with her uptight accountant husband. Socially awkward, sensible to a fault. Taking care of her aging mother has taken a toll on her.

Martin HeymanMale40-69 y.o.All ethnicities

Uptight tax accountant. Lives by many rules, none of which seem to give him much joy. Uncomfortable in David and Barbara’s world.

Sophie GreenglassFemale18-56 y.o.All ethnicities

To play 70s to 80s. A formidable jewish mother. A widow and a miserable complainer. A bit unkempt at first, uses a walker, can’t hear well. Mad at the world and especially at Barbara and Trudy; uses guilt on her daughters. As play progresses, she shows another surprising side and begins to blossom.

Maurice KoenigMale18-56 y.o.All ethnicities

To play 90s. A world-renowned artist, very stylish and has a snappy attitude, with a kindly disposition. Definitely an old-time New Yorker. A bit of a lady’s man, even at his age.
