About the project: Be a part of this vibrant adaptation by Winston-Salem native and New York Times best-selling novelist, Charlie Lovett! Imprisoned in the dark and miserly life he has chosen, Ebenezer Scrooge faces a fateful night of ghosts, memories, visions, and fears. Will the Spirits of Christmas Past, Present, and Yet to Come help him find the way to a kinder heart and a brighter future? The Little Theatre is pleased to bring this hopeful and merry adaptation of everyone’s favorite Christmas classic to the stage this holiday season Additional info: Callbacks on Wednesday, October 16 from 6:00-9:00 pm Please read the character descriptions and performance schedule below. Auditions will consist of reading from sides. Certain characters will have prominent singing roles, others will not, but everyone will be a part of a choir during the show. Bring your Christmas cheer! Please also bring your calendar and be prepared to list all potential conflicts for the rehearsal and performance period. The first read through will be held Monday, October 28 from 6:30-10:00 pm. Rehearsals will be held Mondays-Fridays from 6:30-9:30 pm, with occasional Saturday daytime rehearsals. Not everyone will be called to each rehearsal, but it is important to list all of your conflict dates and times to assist us in preparing the rehearsal schedule as quickly as possible. Likewise, please understand that with a cast of this size, directors cannot guarantee special time off requests unless it is an emergency. There may be occasions when a special Saturday morning or Sunday afternoon rehearsal need to be scheduled for specific needs, such as a dance or music rehearsal. PERFORMANCES December 12-15 & 19-22, 2024 Thursday-Saturday performances at 7:30 pm Saturday & Sunday matinees at 2 pm School performances: December 13, 19 & 20 at 10 am All characters, with few exceptions, will also play multiple roles and be a part of the Ensemble. All characters are British and will need to have either a Standard British or Cockney accent. Feel free to “bring” yours to the audition!
