About the project: The Big White Lie is the story of a family gathering for the funeral of their beloved patriarch they call Pop Pop. As his wife Frannie, their adult kids James and Emily, and the grandkids share happy memories, a mysterious woman arrives and a family secret is revealed. It turns out Pop Pop and Frannie have been telling a lie for years. After the funeral raises even more questions, and chaos rises, Frannie finally confesses the truth and everyone is left to deal with the fallout. It’s a fast-paced comedy that reminds everyone what being a family really means. Additional info: Tech Week: September 30 – October 3. Performances: Friday, October 4, 7:30 pm; Saturday, October 5, 7:30 pm; Friday, October 11, 7:30 pm; Saturday, October 12, 7:30 pm; Sunday, October 13, 2:30 pm. Libbie is a music major, she greatly looks up to Frannie, and wants to be there for her family any way she can. She wears her heart on her sleeve.
