"She Loves Me" The Musical Looking For Performers

Florissant, MO, United States
ID: 263202Exp: 7/6/2024
Description:

Non-Equity auditions for "She Loves Me" show. Actors wanted. ONLY LOCAL TALENT WILL BE CONSIDERED. See the breakdown below. About the project: Synopsis: Set in a city in Hungary in the 1930s, the show concerns the adventures of the staff of Maraczek’s Parfumerie. The manager, Georg Nowack, is constantly at odds with the most recent addition to the staff, a young woman named Amalia Balash, but is unaware that they are in fact anonymous pen pals known to each other in their letters only as “Dear Friend.” Arriving at the Cafe Imperiale to meet his mystery correspondent, Georg realizes that it is Amalia, but does not identify himself to her. Eventually, their relationship blossoms into love and he reveals the truth by quoting from her letters. Based on the play “Parfumerie,” on which the movies “You've Got Mail”, “The Shop Around The Corner”, and “In The Good Old Summertime” are also based, the plot may seem pleasantly familiar. “She Loves Me” is a charming comedy with an endearing innocence and a touch of old-world elegance. Additional info: An accompanist will be provided for you. NO a cappella singing will be allowed. Please be prepared to learn a short dance combination as well. SHE LOVES ME is not a dance heavy show so choreography will focus on movement. Call backs will be July 7, 2024, in the evening. Performances will be Oct 4, 5, 11, 12 and 13, 2024. When applying, please include the following information: Name: Email address: Phone number: Interested Role(s): (If you are only interested in specific roles, please state so in your request for an appointment. If you are open to additional roles besides those indicated as “Interested Roles”, please state “open.”) Directors will contact you with a time, additional information, an audition form, and some music they would like you to prepare.
