Seeking Performers for Production of "Witch"
ONLY LOCAL TALENT WILL BE CONSIDERED. Casting performers to portray roles in production of "Witch". more details are below. Rate: This is a volunteer production – interested CAEA members MUST have an affiliation/history with the University of Alberta’s Drama Department. Additional information: Rehearsals M-F evenings (approx. 6:00-10:30) and Saturdays (approx. 10-6). No Rehearsal September 30 and October 14. Approximate dates: First Rehearsal: September 9, 2024. Performance Dates: October 17-19, 2024. Please indicate if you have any immovable commitments during September and October in your submission. Note: The pronouns listed represent those of the characters, not necessarily of the actors cast to play them. When applying, please submit your head shot and resume with “BLT 1 Auditions” in the subject line and the role(s) you wish to be considered for. Those selected to audition will be contacted with an audition time and further details.

She/her. A woman who lives as an outcast on the edge of the village. Labeled the town witch. Intelligent and powerful. Not easily manipulated.
He/him. The devil but a less experienced, middle management type. Charming. Not used to taking no for an answer. Fascinated by Elizabeth. Young for a demon but has lived for hundreds of years.
He/him. A wealthy king of the area. Has difficulties connecting with his son Cuddy and puts his efforts into his relationship with Frank instead. Still mourning the death of his wife.
He/him. Sir Arthur’s son, painfully shy. A Morris dancer. Secretly in love (and also in hate) with Frank. Movement experience an asset but not required.
He/him. A confident and successful young man, charming and ruthless. A social climber of sorts, determined to change his circumstances. His ambition knows no bounds.
