Auditions for production of Moliere's "Tartuffe". In need of cast. Please see the breakdown below. Additional info: Come with a comedic (preferably classical) monologue to present, and be prepared for cold-reading from the script. You will not be required to be at both audition dates. Orgon's mother, who is a big supporter of Tartuffe. This leads to disagreements between her and her grandchildren.
Head of the Pernelle household. Wealthy man who is unknowingly being conned by Tartuffe.
Orgon's wife, stepmother to Damis and Mariane. She is very practical minded and conspires with her stepchildren to expose Tartuffe.
Orgon's son, he despises Tartuffe and quickly rises to anger.
Orgon's daughter. She plans to marry Valere, but her father has other plans.
Young wealthy man who is engaged to Mariane when the show begins, only to hear Orgon wants to go back on his word.
Orgon's brother-in-law. He tries in vain to speak sense into Orgon over the show. Sees right through Tartuffe's deceptions.
False holy man, who uses this guise to slip into foolish noblemen's good graces. He is upsetting the entire Pernelle household and is infatuated with Elmire.
Tartuffe's servant, who we don't hear speak during the show. They seemingly idolize Tartuffe and try to mimic their master.
Mariane's lady's-maid. She spins both Orgon and Tartuffe around in circles with her wit.
A bailiff of the court, sent to deliver a notice to the Pernelle's. Served with Orgon's father.
Sent by the King to ensure the legal orders are followed.
MME. Pernelle's maid. She is timid and is constantly being badgered by her mistress.
