Acting Audition For "Zepotha" 80s Slasher Horror Short Film
Casting "Zepotha," an 80s slasher horror short film inspired by the TikTok trend. Seeking actors & extras. ONLY LOCAL TALENT WILL BE CONSIDERED. See the roles below. About the project: The film takes place in the woods where a group of friends attend a bonfire party as the unsettling truth comes to light that there is a killer on the loose. Who is the Zepotha killer? Rate: Unpaid. Additional info: - all actors must be 18+. Actors must be based in Florida. -all actors have to be comfortable with performing scenes of violence. -all actors have to be comfortable with fake blood and gore. -all actors should be able to commute to the select film locations unless carpool is available at time of event. -all actors should have flexibility to fulfill extra film dates if needed and cast photoshoot. Directors will be entering the 'Zepotha Short Film' contest in hopes of becoming the canon film. The script is currently in development, but directors highly recommend to start applying as they aim to begin shooting immediately. Was Alaine's childhood best friend who is also in love with her. She's a society outcast. She is very narcissistic & deceitful, but she can be fun & supportive in times of need. She tends to do well being a loner & minding her own business. However, people tend to realize in everything she does she has an ulterior motive that benefits herself. She is willing to do anything to get what she wants. Note: the vision for this character is bleached blonde hair with tattoos & piercings. Lead role.
Danny tends to be your stereotypical pretty boy. He is one of the most popular kids and is captain of the basketball team. He tries to be a good guy but can have a shady side to him when he's upset. He is madly in love with Alaine, and cares a lot for her safety and who she surrounds herself with. He is not the brightest of the bunch, but he is one of the strongest. Lead role.
Frankie is one of Alaine's closest friends, some say she was Maxine's replacement in her life. She is very spunky and has no shame to say what's on her mind. She is very laid back and is always down for a good adventure. Frankie is also dating Robbie. Note: the vision for this character is a redhead. Supporting role.
African descent, ethnically ambiguous/multiracial. Robbie is one of the nicest people in the friend group. He gives off cool kid "don't care" vibes. He has a very charming smile. Is dating Frankie. Another member of the basketball team. Supporting role.
Asian, ethnically ambiguous/multiracial. Rita is a part of Alaine's friend group. She is very confident in her persona and doesn't let anyone talk her or her friends down. She gives off bada*s energy, but in reality, she can be quite a softy. She is gay but keeps it lowkey since we're in the 80s. Supporting role.
Cole is Danny's best friend, they grew up together. He is a stoner, and the majority of the time is too high to even know what's going on. He is very laid back and loves Rock and Roll. He tends to be very funny without trying. Is bisexual, and has a crush on Rita. Always carries a flashlight. Supporting role.
African descent, ethnically ambiguous/multiracial. Missy Ann is another member of Alaine's friend group, however, she tends to lean to be the closest with Alaine. She is very shy and introverted, and only opens up to be more fun and exciting when she's with her closest friends. She is one of the smartest girls at school and is very clever. Neil is a very extroverted individual. He loves to read. However, not a lot of people in the friend group know a lot about him. He tends to keep to himself about personal things and is very lowkey. Secretly in love with Maxine. Supporting role.
Andy is one of those characters who tends to give bad guy vibes but in an attractive way. He is very flirtatious, especially towards Alaine and her friends. His style is biker-esque. He is a very observant person. Is not liked by Danny, but still in the friend group because of Rita. Supporting role.
