About the project: In this gritty American classic, sons of a desert-dwelling alcoholic clash over a film script. Austin, the achiever, is working on a script he has sold to producer Sal Kimmer when Lee, a petty appliance thief, drops in. He pitches his own idea for a movie to Kimmer, who then wants Austin to junk his bleak, modern love story and write Lee’s trashy Western tale. Additional info: PERFORMS: Weekends on April 21-May 14 and a night on Monday, May 1. COVID PROTOCOL: Masks are required when CDC community levels in Hennepin County are at Medium or High. A memorized 2 minute monologue is strongly preferred but some readings from the script will be available. Auditioners may be asked to read things by the director in addition to doing the prepared monologue. The monologue does not need to be from the play. Director encourages you to audition with a piece you feel comfortable with and best represents you. If you are interested, please apply.
