Casting Professionals for "Stand and Deliver" Play
Looking for male and female talent for the "Stand and Deliver" show. Please see the details below. About the project: Jamie Escalante’s mission was to challenge his students to reach their full potential in and out of his classroom. When he is assigned to an inner-city school with a reputation of gangs, drugs, and dropouts, his offbeat teaching methods and quirky humor motivate his math students. Together, the students set a goal to take the Advanced Placement Calculus Test and pass. Based on a true underdog story, this urban fairy tale is a story of perseverance in the face of adversity. Additional info: Actors will be required to be fully vaccinated to volunteer on productions. Actors will be asked to show proof of vaccination at auditions. Rehearsal protocols will be discussed at auditions. The show will go into rehearsal in early March and will be performed on weekends from April 14 – 22, along with daytime school outreach performances on April 18, 20, 25, and 26. If interested, please apply.
