About the project: Synopsis: This version of A Christmas Carol is a one-act modernized take on the classic Charles Dickens tale, adapted for the stage by Kelly Jones and Joey Whelan. This show will feature puppetry, with one actor taking on the roles of the Ghosts of Christmas Past, Present, and Future. The Elf Who Ruined Christmas is the tale of a group of elves who must go on a journey to retrieve the Nice List, after clumsy but good-natured elf Jingle accidentally sends it away. Rate: $50 stipend upon completion of the final performance. Additional info: Rehearsals: Weekday evenings or weekends, depending on actor availability. Rehearsals will only b held one or two times a week until closer to performance. Rehearsals will begin the week of October 24th at a TBD space In Phoenix. Performances: The Elf Who Ruined Christmas will be performed on Saturday, December 3rd. Both productions will be put on Saturday, December 17th. Other performances may be added, depending on actor availability. Accepting video submissions. Please record a 1-2 minute comedic monologue. Callbacks, if necessary, will be held on Sunday, October 16th. When applying, please submit video audition along with any potential conflicts for rehearsal.
