About the project: From the writers of The Golden Girls, a new comedy about old gays! Silver Foxes is a new comedy play about an ensemble of queer men who rescue their best friend from a homophobic assisted living facility. The three older men plus their buddy’s younger Twink lover, navigate stray cats, online hookup sites, and the real estate ravenous lesbian couple next door to become a fabulous de facto family in an iconic mid-century Palm Springs house. This world premiere is written by James Berg & Stan Zimmerman (“Golden Girls”). Rate: Stipend, Equity Membership Candidacy program, Comp tickets and/or other perks, Equity contract(s) available. Additional info: - Callback Dates: Oct. 10, 2022, at 6 pm - Rehearsal Dates: Oct. 11 & 12, 2022 – table read with the playwrights. Feb. 6 – Mar. 1, 2023 – rehearsals - Performance Dates: Mar. 2-12, 2023 - Requirements: Please prepare the audition sides for the role(s) you are interested in. The audition sides can be found in the attachment. A headshot and resume are required with your submission. COVID-19 vaccinations are required from all artists in the production group.
