About the project: A group of popular college students who have gotten used to getting away with everything spend Halloween together after dismissing an extra credit assignment about the history and traditions behind the holiday. But when their celebration takes an unsettling turn, the group is forced to confront a series of increasingly disturbing events that follow the traditions of Halloween across three days. The effortlessly charming guy who never pays attention but somehow still manages to get good grades. Matthew is naturally funny, charismatic, and easy to like. He’s used to getting away with things because people enjoy being around him. He’s part of the popular group and has become comfortable with the peak that comes with it.
Lead Everybody likes Heart. She’s confident, charismatic. Her condescending attitude often goes unnoticed by everyone outside of her close circle. She’s snarky, sarcastic, self-assured, and protective of herself and her friends, but has little concern for people outside of that circle.
Lead. An ordinary, genuinely nice guy who goes about his day without bothering anyone. Unfortunately, his quiet and unassuming nature makes him an easy target for the group. He’s simply a nice guy. Beneath the surface, however, Dennis is extremely emotional and affected by much more than he lets people see.
Supporting. A passionate history teacher who genuinely loves his job. Mr. Keston tries to make learning engaging and fun rather than just lecturing his students. He values the trust between him and his students and wants them to feel comfortable coming to him when something is wrong.
Supporting A friend of the group who fits naturally into their social dynamic. Luka is familiar with the personalities and relationships within the group and contributes to their energy.
Supporting A friend of the group who is comfortable within their social circle. Anya understands the group’s dynamic and is part of the environment surrounding them.
Small Supporting Role A student who happens to overhear a simple conversation in class. Although this is a smaller role, the character requires dull reactions and the ability to communicate through body language.
Featured Extra A student who appears in the background and has a brief featured moment involving a fall.
Supporting A grieving mother that is struggling with overwhelming guilt and anger. She refuses to forgive herself for what happened. She appears near the end of the film and delivers a few emotionally significant lines.
An angry, grieving father who doesn’t need a lot of words to make his presence known. He carries his emotions heavily and communicates much of what he’s feeling through his expression and presence.
