Description:

Casting actors for a short-form horror project for online release. Logline: A man experiencing recurring sleep paralysis begins recording himself at night to understand what happens while he sleeps. What starts as an attempt to capture his sleep talking turns into an unsettling investigation when the recordings reveal things he cannot remember and cannot explain. The story unfolds through his overnight recordings and personal video updates as he reviews the footage, tests possible explanations, and documents increasingly disturbing discoveries. Across several nights, strange patterns emerge in his behavior, raising questions about what he is experiencing and whether it happens only while he sleeps. Performances will combine guided improvisation with select scripted dialogue, allowing actors to respond naturally within each scene’s circumstances. Shooting Date: OCTOBER 14th (Slight chance the shoot will be rescheduled to Oct. 15th)

4 roles

NOLAN VOSS — LeadMale18-45 y.o.All ethnicities

$300 USD for one day of shooting, approximately 10–12 hours. An everyday man struggling with disrupted sleep and recurring sleep paralysis. Nolan begins recording himself overnight to understand his sleep talking and find a way to get better. He initially approaches the process with humor and a willingness to experiment, but becomes increasingly unsettled by what the recordings reveal. He continues documenting his nights even as he grows afraid of falling asleep.

TESSA VOSS — SupportingFemale18-55 y.o.All ethnicities

$300 USD for one day of shooting, approximately 10–12 hours. Nolan’s sister, who checks in on him as his sleep problems begin affecting his daily life. Direct, caring, and comfortable challenging him, Tessa initially believes exhaustion is making him overthink the recordings. Her concern deepens when she notices changes in him that he seems unaware of.

ELLIS MERCER — SupportingMale18-35 y.o.All ethnicities

$300 USD for one day of shooting, approximately 10–12 hours. A longtime friend Nolan trusts enough to share his overnight recordings with. Ellis helps him review the footage and suggests ordinary explanations for what they see. His casual interest turns to unease when those explanations stop making sense.

DR. ROWAN HALE — SupportingMale40-70 y.o.All ethnicities

$300 USD for one day of shooting, approximately 10–12 hours. A sleep specialist Nolan consults about his recurring episodes. Dr. Hale asks detailed questions about his routine and encourages him to keep track of his experiences. As Nolan shares more of the recordings, the doctor must navigate his growing fear while trying to understand what is happening.
