About the project: Lanford Wilson’s Pulitzer Prize-winning romantic drama is set in 1944, in the deserted boathouse on the Talleys’ farm in Lebanon, Missouri. This moving and lyrical play deals with the courtship of the young Sally Talley and her suitor, Matt Friedman. Matt, an accountant from St. Louis, has arrived to plead his love to Sally, the cautious, still-unmarried daughter of the Talley family. Through his charm and persistence, Matt gradually overcomes her resistance, revealing his innermost secrets and gradually awakening Sally to the possibilities of a life together. Additional info: Show date: May 15, 16, 17, 22, 23, and 24. (May 17 & 24 are Sunday matinees). Sides will be provided. Rehearsals will be ~3 times a week, days TBD.
