"The Jury Experience" - Minneapolis
The Jury Experience: 60-minute scripted play presented as a live courtroom trial. The audience serves as the jury, and the show features alternative endings based on their verdict. Rehearsals: $720 rehearsal stipend per actor (including understudies) Show Rate: $340 per show day + catered meal Understudy Show Rate: $80 per show day + catered meal ($340 if actor called to perform) Rehearsals: Minneapolis, MN | January 20-February 5, 2026 Shows: Friday, February 6, 2026 | 6PM & 8:30 PM | The Granada Notes: Each understudy will cover two roles. Call time on performance day is 12PM. We are looking for non-AEA actors with the ability to work as Minneapolis, MN locals. Content Warning: This experience includes themes of domestic violence, emotional manipulation, alcohol use, and a distressing 911 call. The performance contains moments of intense emotional conflict. A seasoned judge who values logic over emotion but secretly delights in the theatricality of court. Sharp, grounded, occasionally wry. Always quoting a Stoic. Must hold authority without intimidation.
Privileged and slightly broken. Carries a visible limp from the crash. Torn between arrogance and guilt. Regardless of the outcome, is aware they made a bad mistake. Audiences should empathize with them even as they question their motives. Note: Plays the son of SENATOR TERRY GILROY
A powerful politician and parent of the defendant. Terrified of scandal, but above all, a deeply loving parent. The facade is polished while the emotions beneath are volcanic. (Also understudies the role of JUDGE - KELLY THOMPSON for an increased rate.) Note: Plays the parent to DYLAN GILROY
