Actors Wanted for "Hairspray" Show
The company is seeking non-AEA understudy performers for "Hairspray" Show, please see the details below. ONLY LOCAL TALENT WILL BE CONSIDERED. Rate: Pay is $19.18 per hour with a guaranteed $307 per week minimum. No guaranteed performances but you are paid every week of the run regardless of if you go on or not. Additional info: Rehearsals begin June 9 2026, closing night is September 12 2026. Rehearsals are typically Tuesday - Friday 2 pm to 10 pm, and Sat/Sun 10 am to 7 pm. Availability for Wednesday 2 pm matinees is strictly required. Please apply if interested.

(swing u/s): White woman of size, played by male or masc performer in drag. A big woman with an even bigger heart. Sharp witted and clever, with a lot of mileage for someone who never went far from home. Good movement skills necessary, but not a superior dancer. Production team is hoping to lean into the style and grit of Divine from the original Waters film. Experience with drag a major plus!
Crooner and TV show host. Charismatic and disarming. Good movement skills necessary, but not a superior dancer.
