About the project: Based on the DreamWorks Animation hit film, How to Train Your Dragon JR brings epic adventure, humor, and heart to the stage. The story follows Hiccup, a young Viking who challenges tradition by befriending a dragon named Toothless. Together, they fight against the odds to save both their worlds in this exciting, family-friendly theatrical adaptation. Rate: This is a tuition-based production. Pilot tuition is $500, due after casting on or before the first rehearsal. Payment plans are available. (No fee required to audition.) Additional info: Prepare 16–32 bars (60–90 seconds) of a musical theatre song Bring accompaniment track on a personal device (no accompanist provided) Wear appropriate attire for a dance audition Auditions include singing music and reading scenes from the show Actors should remain for the full audition time Auditions are closed to parents and non-auditioning guests Rehearsals (50 hours): Tuesdays & Thursdays evenings (Jan–Feb), select Fridays, and tech rehearsals Feb 17–19 Performances: Two weekends / eight shows February 20–22 & February 27–March 1, 2026 If interested, submit your application.
