About the project: A horror comedy rock musical, the story follows hapless florist shop worker, Seymour, who pines for co-worker Audrey. During a total eclipse, he discovers an unusual plant he names Audrey II, which feeds only on human flesh and blood. The growing plant attracts a great deal of attention for the previously struggling store. Additional info: Audition Requirements: A brief joke or a personal funny life story. 1-2 minutes of a Little Shop of Horrors/Broadway-style song (no songs from Little Shop). An egotistical dentist with a passion for leather and sadistic tendencies. Audrey's abusive boyfriend, who is targeted by Seymour. This role will also play a wino, a customer, radio announcer, Bernstine, Skip Snip, Luce and Patrick Martin. Vocal range top: G4 - Vocal range bottom: G2
Puppet. An anthropomorphic cross between a Venus flytrap and an avocado, the plant has an appetite for human flesh that is appeased by Seymour. Puppeteer doubles as other sizes of the plant.
