About the project: LOGLINE: Rivers Song is a film about timeless love and the art of resonance. An Old Bluesman’s orphaned song drifts through the soul stream, in his guitar, as it searches for the hearts ready to harmonize their connection. SYNOPSIS:1928 Bluesman Smokey Rivers has lost heart. His RIVERS SONG will be an orphan when the music leaves his hands. Iris comforts him, “The River Woman will slide it on the current between the worlds.” This poetic film follows RIVERS SONG on its journey, through changing seasons and places, calling out for someone to catch it! Smokey's guitar becomes the vessel for the unfinished song, yearning to be heard. In the present day, Booker , an antique dealer, becomes its shepherd after hearing its call. Maya, see's the vintage guitar, she finds herself haunted by a dream — and then Zeek, a street musician, finally brings the song to life before her. Together, they finish RIVERS SONG. The spark they feel will lead them to create new songs bridging the earthly and eternal realms. Rate: Non Union. $100 + reel + Food =Imdb credit. Additional information: Location: Wakworth ON.
