“Don’t Dress For Dinner, a Farce” Play Needs Talent
Seeking performers for production of “Don’t Dress For Dinner, a farce”. Please, see the details below. About the play: The Story (such as it is) Bernard plans a weekend of romance with his lover Suzanne because his wife Jacqueline is visiting her mother. When Jacqueline learns that Bernard’s best friend – her secret lover Robert – is coming she cancels her plans and stays home. When Suzette the cook arrives, Robert mistakes her for Bernard’s lover Suzanne and he now must convince Jacqueline that he, Robert, is NOT with Suzanne, but THEN Suzette – Bernard’s lover – walks in and within moments none of them know whose lover is whose and who is sober enough to remember their particular string of lies and, most importantly, who’s cooking dinner. And if that’s confusing, that’s just Act I, BEFORE Suzanne’s suspicious, bone-crunching husband George arrives! This is a funny, frenetically paced French farce that will delight audiences.
