Casting Call for Dark Comedic Short Film

Ben is a decent but cynical man who's recently fallen on some hard times and is desperate to keep his head above water. Consequently, he's lazy and checked out, but still willing to fight for his residency.

No less desperate than Ben, Leah can't face having to move back in with her parents. She'll do whatever it takes to avoid eviction. She fundamentally hates their landlord, Ronnie.

Crass, arrogant, and full of himself after a recent win at the poker table, Ronnie gambles with Ben and Leah's unpaid rent in a poker game because he's fed up with managing his mom's dilapidated apartment complexes.

Desperate for a job, Herb washes car windows on the street for a meager wage at best. When Ronnie inadvertently throws hot coffee on him, Herb swears vengeance.
