Casting Actors for Short Film
Casting call for a short film. In need of actors. ONLY LOCAL TALENT WILL BE CONSIDERED. Please see the roles below. About the project: SYNOPSIS: Robyn Banks loses her job and scrambles to find another one. She ends up at a boring, strict office where everyone acts like robots — except for Alice, a friendly coworker who makes work a little easier. But when Robyn gets promoted, she starts turning into the kind of boss she used to hate, and has to decide what kind of person she really wants to be. Additional info: Shooting in February. Lead. Robyn is an everyperson caught in the machinery of corporate life. She doesn’t like being this way but is desperate to stay employed. She hides her disheveled ways because believes professionalism might protect her from chaos. She follows the rules and always tries to say the right thing. Earnest yet anxious.
Supporting. Alice is a splash of color in a sepia tone world. Alice is the beating heart of an otherwise lifeless office. She radiates friendliness, and doesn’t consider how those around her may judge her outgoing positivity. Her bubbly and kind demeanor stands out from everyone else, for better or worse.
Lead. Walter is the local branch manager of a corporate office who is methodical, humorless, and governed by procedure over logic. He’s been at the job long enough to know to stay in his lane, and make sure those around him are doing so. He doesn’t rule the office with an iron fist, but rather a cold stare and monotone voice.
