Letty & Jack Want Out

Moved to Austin to live with a guy she met while she was living and working in a coastal town. . She wants out of the relationship, but can’t financially afford it. She gets home sick for her family and her South Texas home town, but really loves Austin and is determined to come up with a plan that allows her to stay. She has a history of making rash decisions and has no master plan for her life. She’s not afraid of the immediate consequences.

Small physical frame, and recent college graduate who works for a mysterious company. He does a series of sketchy jobs. He knows what he’s doing is wrong, but he likes the money and feels he has no other real options. He was brought into the company by Otto, his best friend, and who’s deranged father runs the organization. Jack wants out of his situation but feels trapped.

Skinny frame. Jack’s long time friend from college. Otto has reluctantly gone to work for his domineering father and has dragged Jack along with him. He comes from money, but tries to distance himself from it. Even he is not clear as to what his father and company is about, but knows it’s not legal. He drinks to excess to distance himself from reality and rarely takes anything seriously.

Works with Letty at a restaurant and is the one who gets Letty all her brand ambassador jobs. She is Letty’s only real Austin friend. She’s very spiritual and very defensive of Letty.

Large and the ominous right hand man who does Monte’s dirty work. He is the only person Monte trust. He doesn’t say a lot but can strike fear with his mere presence. Mr. Man is not his real name. Otto grew up with him always around and always called him that so the name stuck around the organization. Otto is the only other person, other than Monte, that is not afraid of him.

Letty’s live in boyfriend. They met while he was on vacation at the Texas coast and she was a local waitress. A one night stand turned into her moving to Austin and moving in together. At first he assumed it was temporary, but it has lasted months longer than he thought it would. He’s busy with his career in the tech world and so is usually distracted and not present. As much of a hard worker that he is, he is lazy when it comes to relationships.

Has a cold stare. She’s experienced and more dangerous than she looks. She takes pleasure in her work as the deadly enforcer of a rival organization.

Small frame. He’s one of Monte’s lieutenants who makes a costly mistake.
