About the project: Logline: A purity obsessed man, Vincent, and his sex doll wife, Suzanne, must navigate their relationship as Vincent develops a delusional para-social relationship with the secretary at his work. Synopsis: Madonna is a surreal horror/comedy told mainly through the POV of Vincent, a man infatuated with purity and righteousness. We follow Vincent and his wife, Suzanne—a blow-up sex doll—as they navigate the social expectations of marriage. However, their relationship strains as Vincent develops a delusional para-social relationship with the secretary at his work, Marianne, in which Vincent believes the secretary is trying to tempt him into infidelity. Eventually, the symbolic violence (as defined by Slavoj Zizek) embedded in Vincent's relationship with Suzanne-and women in general-are revealed. Vincent confronts Marianne at work by ejaculating into a piece of toilet paper and accusing her of being a dirty temptress. Eventually Suzanne finds out about the incident from Marianne, and at her wits end, she kills Vincent. Rate: Non union. Volunteer Project, with film festival submissions and credits.
