About the project: Logline: A grieving teenager forms an unhealthy attachment and obsession to her favourite TV show, using it as a lifeline in her spiraling self destruction. This is a short film about grief, depression, and the impact fictional stories can have on mental health. Rate: Non union. Unpaid. Lilly is the main character in Zoe's favourite TV show, Lilly's Life. Everyone who knows Lilly has something nice to say about her, and she's too humble to ever believe it, but Lilly is good at everything.
John is the father in Zoe's favourite TV show, Lilly's Life. John has been working as a private investigator in their small town for as long as anyone can remember - he's the best at what he does.
Three months ago, Kathy suddenly lost her loving husband in a car crash. Now, she's afraid that she will slowly lose her daughter as well. Kathy doesn't know how to be a supportive mother to her adult-daughter.
Becca is Lilly's best friend in Zoe's favourite TV show, Lilly's Life. Becca has always been a bit of a drama-club loner at heart, but being best friends with Lilly doesn't always allow that.
Greg's family is his whole world. With Zoe getting older, he's always trying to find new ways to bond and keep her in his life. *Greg's is in one scene with no speaking lines and otherwise is used in photos for Zoe's room. This actor may be required for days prior to the shoot.
