Seeking answers, they gather at their father’s boxing gym, where long-held resentments and unspoken truths come to light. Carmen is the sensitive soul that is the glue that holds the sisters together, but that responsibility puts a tremendous amount of weight on her shoulders. Despite that Tatiana and Carmen are twins, Carmen is still viewed as the baby of the bunch. Although the group has their quarrels, she hopes this reunion albeit teary might motivate healing between the sisters. Spanish speaking preferred
Michaela is the oldest sister. The relationship between the trio and their father has always been complicated, but Michaela took their father's parenting the hardest. She went to the military and never looked back. After years of not seeing her sisters, she returns to bury their father. His death bubbles up the questions that have been brewing in the back of her mind since adolescence. Spanish speaking preferred
Tatiana is bitter as she is bold, and justifiably so as she has always felt left behind. She chose to stay and worked at the gym with her dad while everyone else ran off to pursue their own goals. This causes years of built-up tension between her and her sisters, especially with Michaela. She has to rediscover how to trust her sisters again and let go of the immobilizing anger from her unfortunate past. Spanish speaking preferred
