Casting actors for "Daredevil" a workshop project of a scene from. See more details below. ONLY LOCAL TALENT WILL BE CONSIDERED. Rate: This is an unpaid position. Actors will get a recording of the performance, and their headshot will be added to the RTF UT student database for future opportunities. Additional info: This recreation will be performed live in class in front of student directors and then filmed, edited, and presented on a different date. REHEARSALS: Approximately 2 to 3 rehearsals between the casting and October 30th. (to be determined based on actor availability for both roles) DATE OF LIVE-PERFORMANCE: October 30, 2025 (2pm - 5pm) LIVE PERFORMANCE LOCATION: Austin, TX - The University of Texas at Austin - Jesse H. Jones Communication Center - Building B DATE OF FILMED PERFORMANCE: November 13, 2025 SHOOT LOCATION: Austin, TX (Location to be in the vicinity of The University of Texas at Austin). NOTE: Please do not review the scene from the show before the auditions. The purpose of this project is to see your interpretation of the scene! Unpaid Matt Murdock, AKA Daredevil, is a blind lawyer and a man of Catholic faith. Torn between guilt and righteousness, faith and fury, restraint and rage. Matt is introspective, burdened by his Catholic upbringing and his violent impulses he can't always suppress.
Unpaid Father Lantom is thoughtful, wise, and deeply empathetic, with a dry sense of humor and a capacity for great emotional depth. He must project warmth and moral gravity while maintaining the quiet resilience of someone who has seen both the best and worst in people.
