Casting Call Title: "Pubes" - A Student Short Film Details of Casting call: Eighteen-year-old, lacking self-confidence, Hailey is in her first ever relationship with the slightly older Jarrett, and really wants to experience orgasm. Jarrett says he can’t go down on her unless she shaves her pubes. However, when she goes to shave, she discovers that her Pubes are sentient and have a strong desire to live. Hailey and her Pubes develop a friendship, through which she learns self-respect and gains the ability to stand up to Jarrett. Hailey is a young, naive but rather guarded girl. She is in her first relationship but ignorant to its power dynamic. She’s the sort of person to have a rich internal world that she expresses regularly with her Pubes but doesn’t volunteer this side to her friends or boyfriend. [Role also asks that the performer be blonde or be willing to dye hair blonde (dyeing will be paid for by production)]
Jarrett is a standard “apolitical” man. He has a sweet side that he knows he’s showing to Hailey. He’s a manipulator trying to control a younger woman. He maintains this veneer but it occasionally slips through.
Savannah is Hailey's slightly older, more sexually confident friend. She’s comfortable in her skin and can express her opinions freely.
