About the project: Colors of Life follows the journey of Lola, a woman who moves into a new apartment in a city drained of vibrancy and warmth. Lola must confront the difficulties of not being able to speak the new native language. At first, her surroundings feel empty and hollow and visibly gray, a reflection of her own isolation. The tone shifts when she meets new people in her journey. Lola continues on her journey when she ventures into the city, allowing herself to finally feel welcome in this new city and change her whole worldview. Performers should prepare to convey emotion and inner change through facial expression, physicality, and pacing rather than spoken dialogue.
