Logline: A florist becomes convinced that her boyfriend, an ex-felon, poses a deadly threat to her and her unborn child, sparking a Rashomon-style tale of paranoia, alienation, and tragedy. Synopsis: A pregnant woman, Vivienne, is murdered by her lover, Anthony, an ex-con with a dark past. Through two distinct narratives, it is revealed how this tragedy came to be. Vivienne’s perspective reveals how fear and miscommunication can distort our perceptions; over the course of two months, we see Antony quickly becoming the monster that he once was. Meanwhile, Antony’s story exposes the devastating consequences of alienation and desperation. Rate: Unpaid. Meals provided, film credit, & copy of final cut. Additional info: Non-union. Vivienne is the protagonist of Wolf Tickets. A brown florist. She fits the “broken optimist archetype. In her past, she had a brief fling with her employee, Anthony, an ex-convict. After experiencing a major epiphany stemming from the news that she’s pregnant, she begins to distance herself from Anthony - the result is catastrophic and leads to her eventual death.
Anthony is the antagonist of Wolf Tickets. A male ex-convict is employed at a flower shop. He fits the “dreamer bound by reality” archetype. Anthony exudes charm but struggles to adapt to life outside of prison, finding solace in his relationship with Vivienne. After parting ways with her, Anthony begins to feel increasingly isolated and lost. With no clear direction or confidence, he’s suddenly overcome with the urge to repeat his past mistakes.
